This week, Pastor Jared invited us into a message of perseverance, identity, and calling—anchored in Paul’s final words to Timothy and paralleled by the unlikely Olympic journey in Cool Runnings. Paul’s letter to Timothy, written from prison near the end of his life, carries urgency and depth. He’s not just giving advice to a young pastor—he’s charging all followers of Christ to remain faithful.

Like the Jamaican bobsled team, who fought ridicule, failure, and discouragement, we too face obstacles in our mission. We may not crash on an icy track, but life will throw moments at us that make us question whether we can keep going. And yet, God’s call remains: Stand up. Endure. Stay faithful. You don’t have to pick yourself up alone—let God pick you up. Let His power sustain you. Rest in His presence even as you walk through hardship. That same crown of righteousness is promised not just to Paul—but to all who remain faithful. Not perfect. Not polished. Just faithful.
